We want to extend to you our personal greetings and a very warm welcome to our dental practice website. We are committed to doing everything possible to provide you with high quality, state-of-the-art dental care and also to make your visit to our office as pleasant and as comfortable as possible.
Our practice includes a wide range of dental procedures, including comprehensive dentistry, dental crowns, and dental implants, as well as other esthetic and restorative procedures.

Our practice is based on word-of-mouths referrals. We often treat many members of the same family, and some of our best patients are referred by some of our best patients.
In keeping with the high standard our staff strives to always maintain, Dr. Hoard will perform a comprehensive oral examination. This examination is professionally designed to enable our staff to perform any and all future dental needs to the highest standard of abilities available today, giving us totally accurate and thoroughly detailed diagnostic record of your individual needs.
We provide an atmosphere for our patients to make positive choices for their dental health. We do our part through improving our technical skills with a strong commitment to continuing education. We also believe that the foundation for better dental health is based on mutual trust, respect, care and understanding.
This specially set aside time will include a personal consultation with Dr. Hoard and then proceeding forward to complete your individual records. Please note this scheduled new patient examination does not include a cleaning.
These records will include all or part of the following steps, depending on your needs:
- Oral Cancer Exam – as recommended by the American Cancer Society.
- Complete oral, facial and joint muscle exam.
- Examine jaw joint.
- Existing condition of each tooth. – i.e.: decay, fillings, crowns, fractured teeth, etc.
- Irregular formation, rotation, shifting of your teeth, or excessive wear.
- Measure the gum tissue around each tooth – detecting any disease
- Full mouth series of diagnostic x-rays.
- Wax bite and face bow registration – these tell exactly how your teeth come together when you bite, as well as lower to upper jaw relation.
- Upper and lower impressions.
- Photographs
- Video Tour of your mouth.
Dr. Hoard will then gather all of this information, and on his personal time, document your immediate needs. He will compile your individual records, analyze his findings and prioritize the treatment sequence of your individual dental needs. Your findings will be discussed with you privately. Future appointments will be scheduled from these findings.
For complex cases, Dr. Hoard takes a multidisciplinary approach, working with local dentists, Dr. Jeffrey Thomas, Periodontist, and Dr. Todd Rankin, Orthodontist. Working as a cohesive team, Dr. Hoard is achieve predictable and optimal results while providing a high level of care for his patients.
It is a known fact that the condition of the mouth and teeth has a direct affect on our overall physical health; this dental physical will answer any and all questions concerning your dental health and future.
